c)the elimination of all tariffs and quotas worldwide.

2. The primary economic advantage of the European Union (EU) to its members is that:
a)the tax structures of each participating nation have been made nearly identical.
b) each nation is free to formulate its own antitrust and agricultural policies.
c) participating nations must all use a common currency.
d) the reduction of trade barriers permits producers to achieve mass-production economies.
Answer: Primary would be...A single currency.
This means that there are no longer separate national monetary policies, and instead a new central bank has been set up – The European Central Bank – that conducts a Europe wide monetary policy, in particular the setting of interest rates. That means a loss of separate national monetary policies – interest rates and exchange rates. Should Germany want to introduce an economic policy to fight back against unemployment, it cannot do so as this can only come from the European Central Bank.

Question: how do you determine the sales tax rate.?
well, i have missed alot of school because of medical conditions =X. and i didint catch how to do sales tax rate. and I have to turn this in tommarow and just explaining how to determine would work wonders! ... my math queastion that im stuck on is. the original price was $27. however tax was included and the bill was 29.16. ( not the hole queastion but oh well ) what was the tax rate? its ok if you answer the math queastion but i wanna learn how to do it . i catch on quick ( or atleast thats what the teacher keeps telling me ). thanks alot. Aaron
Answer: First find exactly how much tax added: 29.16-27=2.16
Now you have to find what percent of 27 that addition is. You can do this by writing the following proportion and cross multiplying (forgive the odd format):
2.16:27 = X:100
8 = X
So the tax was a total of 8% You can double check yourself to make sure you're right by adding 8% to 27:
29.16=Y so we're right!
Good luck on your test!
