Who Should Get 1099

Question: Has anyone experienced both the Turion 64x AND Pentuim processors?
I am a bit nervous having just purchased compaq presario V6133cl Laptop with a Turion 64x Processor , it has 2GB Ram and 1GB cache (512 + 512) plus 120 gb Hard drive
It has a lightscribe super multi8xDVD=RW with double Layer support and a 5 in 1 media card and Windows XP Media edition , It's battery is 6 cell lithium.
It also has Express card /54 pc card slot.It also has nVidia Geforce Go 6150video graphics (with shared video memory) Microsoft XP mediaCenter edition 2005 .windowsVista Capable ...It also has 3 ports .......all this I've read off the box .....I have also now come home and checked what people say about it and some say dont go with this kind of processor while others say it's better than the pentium....some say the machine gets hot , which worries me , This is my first laptop , having come from a very old computor , I have time to take it back Should I ? It was $1099 CDN refurbished.who has long term experience with both processors... HELP Pro's and cons of both?Answer: You cannot go wrong with either processor, I have worked with both processors in laptops and they both are very good processors. The Turion does get hotter, so make sure you don't block any of the ports around the fan. My son has one similar to yours and it has been working great for over a year. Other than the heat, use it and enjoy it.
