Is The Uk Tax System Fair

Question: Your Views On Democracy...Does it work or not?

Its is starting to annoy me...we vote for a party and they get in, in the UK and its ridicules how the middle party misses out. I feel it would work better if all democracy's were based on proportional representation as it gives all parties a fair and equal chance to get into the government.
Also last time i checked when i voted i wanted to have a say (as what a democracy is about) and it is obviously unheard which is pathetic. Our local community politics group are annoyed with how the system works. I mean last time i voted i didn't want my taxes to be spent on some nuclear submarines...id rather it be spent on something use full and not .... like that.
What are your views on democracy in general and how would you change it if possible?

Answer: Democracy does work.

It's about give and take, not getting your own way.

If the party you vote for doesn't win it's because their policies weren't popular enough. Even if your party wins it may still have a few policies that you disagree with and that is the compromise that comes with democracy.

If your party continues to lose then it's policies are wrong and it needs to adapt them to suit the voters. That way political parties should, in theory listen to the voters and adapt accordingly. Just giving a party power because it exists is dangerous as that leads to extremism and it stops listening.
