Question: How does this stimulus package work? More like, will my check be issued by May 16 or I will get it no LATER?
So I am one of the lucky few whose last two numbers of her social security number ends in 03, meaning I'm one of the first to be issued out the stimulus package within the first issuance of checks. It kinda sucks that people with direct deposit got it first, but oh well, eventually I know I will get my check, but this is the confusing part, will I get it before 5/16/08, or will the check be issued on that date? Because people are telling me that I should expect to have the check issued after that date, yet others are saying I should get it before the 16th. I finally received a notice from the IRS with info as to what I am getting, and I'm receiving $600. They're saying I should expect it by the 16th. Will I receive the check before this Saturday? Or do you think it will be issued AFTER that date?

People who use direct deposit also will be among the first to receive the payments starting April 28. Direct deposits will be made daily and completed by the date listed below:DIRECT DEPOSIT
Last two SSN digits: Payments will be transmitted no later than:
00 through 20 May 2
21 through 75 May 9
76 through 99 May 16Paper checks will also go out based on Social Security number. For Social Security numbers ending in 00 through 09, the paper checks will be mailed starting May 9 and will continue through May 16. A similar process will be repeated in the following weeks.
